The Ginsberg Roadmap to eBay Success

When Adam Ginsberg started selling pool tables on eBay, all he was armed with was an idea and the determination to succeed.  With hard work, dedication and a constant endeavor to improve his business strategies, Adam rose to become one of the top sellers on eBay.

Today, Adam helps thousands of people script their own eBay success stories through his mentoring programs. And, while his programs include complete details from setting up an eBay account to making it to the top sellers’ list, Adam shares his three basic principles for achieving success in your own internet business venture.

Research
Research is the key tosuccess in any business. The more in-depth your research, the less are your chances of making a mistake in your business venture. Start by asking yourself questions like “what is it going to cost to start your business?” and then list every possible cost that you are likely to incur, starting from the cost of setting up a website, which again will include everything from your internet cost, website development cost, electricity to run your computer and home office, etc. etc. As we said—get as detailed as possible. Once you have the costs figured out, you can do two things: figure out the profit margins you’d want to earn from selling your products, and figure out a way to constantly reduce unnecessary costs, which will help you earn better profit margins. Similarly, you could research about the products or services you want to sell, your competition, how to improve your services, etc. The more you research the better your business will get.

Plan
After you have done your initial research, make a plan of action for your business. Plan every last detail about how you’re going to launch your business, when you’re going to do it, where you’re going to do it, who your target customers are and how you’re going to reach them. Again, the more detailed the plan, the better your chances of tasting quick success.

Evaluate
Once your business is live and has been running for a few months, revisit your research and your business plan and see if everything is going according to your plan, how good your research was, how successful were you in implementing your plan, if anything had changed in the market that could affect your business. And, if need be, realign your plan according to how your business is running and where you’d like it to go.

These three basic strategies alone are good enough to help you start any business make a success out of it. Adam Ginsberg’s Top Sources for Real Estate Information

As discussed in an earlier post, real estate investment can be a very lucrative and profitable enterprise. However, since it is a market that is spread over towns, cities and entire countries, it is very important to get correct, reliable and timely information for you to be able to profit from.

Adam Ginsberg reveals the sources that he goes to when he is looking for reliable, up-to-date information on real estate markets.

Media

According to Adam, newspapers, magazines, websites etc., make for a good source of multiple, up-to-date listings that can provide an investor with accurate scenarios, like prevailing prices, development projects, reputed agents etc., in a particular market.

Realtors

Realtors or real estate agents are probably the best source for the latest information on a particular locality or town as they are the people with their ear to the ground. A reputable realtor can be a useful ally in getting you the latest information and great deals in their market.

Banks and public agencies

Banks and certain public agencies can offer some great investment opportunities in properties owned by them, which they have been unable to sell. These properties usually require a considerable amount of renovation, but the upside is that these are priced much lower than their market value. Adam Ginsberg highlyrecommends building relationships with people handling real estate departments in banks and other govt. agencies.

Bank Foreclosures

In the last few years, bank foreclosures have emerged to be a great opportunity to make money in real estate. Because of the huge number of foreclosures that have happened because of the economic downturn, many investors have managed to snap up some really great deals, especially with banks being in a hurry to liquidate their holdings. Buying a foreclosure property may require you to spend some extra money in renovating the property, but because you can buy the property much below the market price, the cost of renovation won’t seem like much.

The various resources mentioned by Adam Ginsberg above can prove to be very profitable for your real estate investment, provided you do your research into which properties would suit your investment model and which ones you could sell faster.

Ginsberg Talks About Insurance for Kids – Yes or No?

Whenever someone mentions, or even wonders aloud if they should take out insurance for their children, a hot debate kicks off. Every single time!

This is probably one topic of personal finance/insurance that doesn’t seem to have unanimity on either side. Adam Ginsberg, the online entrepreneurship and wealth-building coach, too studied the various arguments and has decided to put forth his views on the subject.

First and foremost, taking out insurance for children is a sensitive topic for parents as each parent thinks differently about the welfare of their children. Hence, the decision to buy or not to buy life insurance for children should be left entirely to the parents. But here are a few arguments, both for and against, that Adam Ginsberg believes should be shared with parents so as to help them take an informed, albeit an emotional decision.

The one argument that leans heavily in favor of buying insurance for children is to allow them to enjoy insurance coverage later in their lives in case they end with a chronic illness or a disability which renders them uninsurable. If this is the argument that you as a parent are going to consider then Adam Ginsberg suggests buying a whole life insurance policy, which will keep your child insured for his or her entire life, and also give them some returns in terms of the cash value of the policy. If that is the way you are going to go as a parent, then experts advise buying a renewable term plan for a high value makes more sense, and that too which has the option of converting into a whole life policy later.

On the other hand, the pundits believe that that purpose ofinsurance is to cover the loss of wage or income in the event of the insured person’s demise, and since children are not earning any livelihood, it is pointless to take out insurance policies for them. Instead, investing in a good 529 plan or IRA make better sense in the case of children. Click here to read more about what various experts think about this never ending argument.
